softwareIf you want this site to look as good as possible then you need to use a new web browser as cascading style sheets control the presentation of the LLB web site and older web browsers do not support CSS. However, it's recognised that a lot of people viewing this site will be using older browsers and computers that are unable to run the latest, bloated, softwear. For this reason the LLB web site has been designed to work with any browser and on any operating system. Microsoft Internet Explorer 3/4/5 and Netscape Navigator 4 all support CSS. However they are all very buggy, but this site has been designed so that as few as possible un-supported CSS features are used in order to maximise your viewing pleasure! If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 3 please turn style sheets off; view, options, advanced, un-check 'use style sheets'. MSIE3's style sheet support was added just prior to it being released and it's totally broken. An alternative browser is Opera -- it is quicker that the other two and probably won't crash as much, and it's latest version has very good CSS support. |

The LLB audio files page uses RealAudio, which allows audio files to be heard in real time. You can find out more about RealAudio at their UK web site uk.real.com. Occasionaly PDF files are used on this site as they are excellent for leaflets we want people to be able to download and print. Adobe Acrobat is needed to view PDF files. fontsIf you have a CSS enabled browser then you should check to see if you have the Verdana and Georgia fonts installed -- these fonts look very good. They have been designed specifically for viewing on computer monitors. Microsoft have commissioned the design of these fonts and are giving them away for free. They can be downloaded from here:
accessibilityThis site has been designed to be as accessible as possible for people with visual impairments -- graphics have been kept to a minimum and all the graphics have alternative text descriptions which state what the graphics are and where they link to. The LLB web site has achieved a 5 star accessibility rating from bobby. You can find out more about web accessibility issues at the world wide web consortium site. feedbackDo you think that the design of the LLB web site could be improved?
