Independent Labour Network

www.iln.labournet.org.uk

The Independent Labour Network set up by Hugh Kerr and Ken Coates as Independent Labour MEPs is not a new party.

It is a Network designed to help people to continue the struggle for socialism both inside and outside the Labour Party and across the European Union. It will hold meetings, commission research, publish pamphlets and contribute to newspapers and journals, comparing the British government with others in the EU. The Network will critically appraise the performance of the Blair Government in its term as President of the European Union.

The Independent Labour Network will co-operate with existing organisations in the trade union and labour movement, Green-Left organisations, anti poverty alliances and all those who are struggling to defend and develop a socialist alternative in Europe and to the Blair Government. The Network will consult with all shades of opinion on how best to move the real democratic socialist agenda forward particularly in the area of social welfare.
