700 people marched through Southall on 12th October, calling for unity and solidarity. The march was organised by the Southall Monitoring Group in response to violent clashes between groups of Sikh and Muslim youth under the influence of right-wing communal and fundamentalist political organisations. Speakers included representatives from the Hillingdon Hospital strikers and MPs John McDonnell and Piara Khabra.
